Beginning June 30, MyAccess will require Duo. Duo provides an extra layer of protection to ensure the security of logins beyond a password. Cyber-attacks are increasing, and Duo is an important way we protect our logins from misuse.
All applications that are accessed from the MyAccess landing page, including DocuSign, iRIS (IRB and eProposal), MyResearch, Qualtrics, REDCap, the Research Data Browser, and more than 50 other UCSF applications will require users to install and use Duo for two-factor authentication to log in. You will only be prompted by Duo once per MyAccess session, or every 16 hours.
This is not an HRPP initiative and our office will not be able to provide assistance to users who can’t log in to iRIS because they haven’t set up Duo for their account. Between now and June 29th, please log in and check to ensure you have Duo set up and configured for use: https://myaccess.ucsf.edu/myid
Visit the Duo service page for more information and training. If you need help please call the IT Service Desk at 415.514.4100, or chat with an agent at https://help.ucsf.edu.
