Meeting Dates and Submission Deadlines

Every effort will be made to include modification and continuing review submissions on an agenda if they are received before NOON on the submission deadline. However, because of fluctuations in submission volume and other circumstances that may arise, there is no guarantee that these submissions will be added to the upcoming agenda. They will be added to the next available agenda once the submission is deemed to be complete.

Note: Submission deadlines only apply to modification and continuing review submissions that require full committee reviewBrand new studies (initial submissions) that require full committee review are reviewed on a rolling basis, in order of date received, as are submissions that qualify for expedited review.

IRB Committee Rosters

There are currently five committees that share the responsibilities of the IRB. The committee members have various areas of expertise and are from all schools and many disciplines. Appointments are typically for two years and renewable by mutual agreement. The Chief Ethics and Compliance Officer, Senior Associate Vice Chancellor – Research gives final approval to an appointment or the decision to rotate a member off the IRB. The Letter to Sponsors About Membership has more information on the IRB membership.

Note: Chairs and Vice Chairs have been appointed as alternate voting members for committees other than their own.
